Recommended Setup — One Tap

Tap Recommended Setup and NetShield applies sensible, secure defaults for your specific connection. DoH encrypted DNS, VPN tunnel, kill switch, DNS leak protection, and WebRTC leak prevention — all configured in a single tap. If setup takes more than 60 seconds, the UX has failed. It never does.

If it connects to the internet,
NetShield protects it.

Every type of internet connection — not just home WiFi. The full list, no exceptions.

Ethernet (Wired LAN)
Wired doesn't mean safe. Ethernet connections are still vulnerable to DNS leaks, traffic inspection, ARP spoofing, and unencrypted DNS queries. NetShield wraps your wired connection in the same encrypted tunnel — DoH DNS, VPN kill switch, and real-time threat blocking — so your wired LAN gets the full protection stack, not just a false sense of security.
✓ Covered — Full protection on wired connections

Every protection layer, included.

Not a VPN with a nice UI. A complete network security platform that happens to be easy to use.

🔐

Encrypted DNS (DoH/DoT)

DNS queries routed through encrypted channels. No one can see what sites you're requesting. Stops DNS hijacking attacks cold.

🌐

VPN Tunnel + Kill Switch

Full traffic encryption with an automatic kill switch. If the VPN drops, internet access stops immediately — not after your data is exposed.

💧

DNS Leak Prevention

Closes the gap that lets DNS queries escape the encrypted tunnel. WebRTC leak prevention also included — your real IP stays hidden.

📡

Device Scanner

Maps every device on your network. Detects rogue devices — an unknown laptop, a compromised smart TV, anything that shouldn't be there.

🚫

Real-Time Threat Blocking

Malicious domains, phishing sites, malware distribution networks blocked at the DNS level before a connection is ever made.

👨‍👩‍👧

Parental Controls

Content filtering by category. Set schedules per device. See exactly what devices on your network are accessing. No extra hardware.

🏠

IoT Device Isolation

Smart TVs, thermostats, cameras — isolated from the devices that matter. A compromised refrigerator can't reach your laptop.

📊

Zero-Knowledge Architecture

No-logs policy. NetShield doesn't store your traffic, browsing history, or connection logs. What you do online is your business.

🔔

Security Alerts

Instant notification when something suspicious happens — a new device joins, a threat is blocked, or a connection pattern changes.

Questions from real people

Do I need any technical knowledge to use NetShield?
None. That's the whole point. Open the app, tap Recommended Setup, and you're done. NetShield auto-detects your connection type, your router model, and applies the right settings automatically. If you've never heard of DNS, DoH, or VPN kill switches — you don't need to. We handle it.
Is NetShield just a VPN?
No. A VPN hides your traffic. NetShield also scans your network for rogue devices, blocks malicious traffic at the DNS level, isolates your IoT devices, provides parental controls, and adapts automatically to different connection types. It includes a VPN tunnel as one layer — not the entire product.
Does NetShield need any special hardware?
No hardware required. Firewalla and the discontinued Bitdefender Box required a physical device plugged into your router. NetShield is pure software — install the app on your phone, laptop, or router. That's it. No boxes, no shipping, no setup fee.
Does it work on satellite internet like Starlink?
Yes. NetShield fully supports Starlink, HughesNet, and Viasat. Satellite connections have unique characteristics — higher latency, dynamic IP addressing, different routing — and NetShield accounts for all of it. Auto-detection identifies satellite connections and adjusts the VPN tunnel configuration for optimal performance.
What happens when I switch from home WiFi to a coffee shop network?
NetShield detects the connection change and automatically activates the right protection profile. Public WiFi gets the most aggressive protection — full tunnel, no exceptions. The transition is seamless. You don't have to do anything.
What does "zero-knowledge, no-logs" mean?
It means NetShield doesn't store what you do online. We don't log your browsing history, DNS queries, traffic destination, or connection timestamps. We don't have the data, so we can't hand it to anyone. Your activity is yours.
How does IoT isolation work?
NetShield identifies smart home devices (cameras, TVs, thermostats, light bulbs) on your network and places them in an isolated segment. They can still reach the internet but can't communicate with your laptop, phone, or other sensitive devices. If a smart thermostat gets compromised, it stays contained.
How does NetShield compare to Bitdefender Box?
Bitdefender Box was the closest product to NetShield — and it was discontinued in 2021. It required a $99–199 hardware box, only protected home networks, and couldn't follow you to public WiFi or mobile hotspots. NetShield is pure software ($4.99/mo), protects every connection type including satellite and 5G, and works on every device you own.

Every connection.
Always protected.

Setup takes 60 seconds. No hardware. No technical knowledge. Cancel anytime.
